DiScala is a native of Glen Cove, New York. His coaching experience includes three years of coaching at Oyster Bay High School, as well as for Jacksonville Lacrosse Club. DiScala was a member of the inaugural men’s lacrosse team at Jacksonville University. While there, he received four varsity letters and posted a .600 save percentage. He was an MAAC Academic All-Conference selection in 2010 and 2011. He was a three-year prep starter at Glen Cove High School. He was a captain as a junior and senior, and also earned All-County selections those years. He garnered All-Conference honors as a sophomore.
