Steven Bogert joins the SDSU staff as the team’s defensive coordinator. Coach Bogert spent 2016 at Westview HS serving as an assistant coach. He helped the Wolverines reach the CIF Open division for the first time in program history. Bogert finished an impressive career at Penn State University. A four year starter at defense, Bogert was honored during his tenure as a member of the 2011 CAA All-Rookie team, 2013 All-CAA Championship team, and 2013 All-CAA First Team. He finished his career ranked 10th on PSU’s all time ground ball list. Coach Bogert, is a native San Diegan playing his high school ball at La Costa Canyon HS where he won two CIF Championships and recognized as an All-America and California Player of the Year. Coach Bogert resides in Carlsbad, CA.
