2019 Summary

Ben is currently a graduate student in the Physician Assistant program at Hardin Simmons University. He was born and raised in the suburbs of Baltimore Maryland where he played lacrosse since he was 6 years old. Ben played defense on several club lacrosse teams including the 2009 U-15 FCA US National Championship team and several tournament championship Greene Turtle Lacrosse Club teams. He played all 4 years as a varsity starting defenseman at Loch Raven High School under Coach John Hanley and then played NCAA Division 3 lacrosse at York College of Pennsylvania as a defenseman under Head Coach Brandon Childs. Here, he was voted captain by his peers and coaches his Junior and Senior years after rewarded the Foxhole Award (the award given to the player who best reflects the program’s culture and character; he who you would choose to be in a “foxhole” with) his sophomore year. Ben’s senior year proved to be memorable as York College not only defeated Salisbury University, the National Champions that year, for the first time in program history, but also won the first conference championship in program’s history by doing so. He hopes to bring his knowledge from all levels of the sport to Abilene and grow the game all while growing in his faith with others.
