John Faranda, the Cougar Faculty Advisor, is the vice president and ambassador-at-large for Claremont McKenna College. For more than 33 years, he has been centrally involved in various aspects of external relations and fundraising at the College, including CMC's Leaders in the Making Campaign and the Fifty Years of Leadership Campaign. John became involved in Claremont Lacrosse by helping the Club with our budgeting and fundraising efforts. A 1979 CMC graduate, John also serves as the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps sailing coach and as the treasurer of Claremont Heritage, the local historic preservation association. He is a past president of the local chapter of Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic and a past president of Community Friends of International Students. The CMC Alumni Association's annual student service award is named in his honor.
