SLC Annual Member Meeting

The Southwestern Lacrosse Conference, a member of the MCLA, underwent a realignment during its annual member meeting on October 5th. The goal is to increase competition while maintaining equitable play for all. This also preserves long standing rivalries while fostering new ones.

While Division I was part of the conversation, the adjustments took place in both Division II & III. This new format makes "every game count" no matter which division the team participates in, since teams will now play all divisional members annually. We know from the recent history of Div. 1 results, this will boost in conference competition, making "every game important!”

Both our divisions (1 & 2) play the MCLA required divisional games, along with the Out Of Conference contests. Currently at least two for Div. 2 and three for Div. 1. The expansion of Div. 3 to seven teams creates instant competition, defined regional play, and allows the Conference to offer a championship & player award!

Overall, the SLC remains committed to providing a safe & competitive lacrosse experience for its member schools. The SLC Board and member teams are all excited to see how this next season shakes out!
