Colorado State Opens Coaching Search

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- The Colorado State University men’s lacrosse program is searching for a head coach for the 2016 season. The lacrosse team is a MCLA Division I program and is administered through the Colorado State University's Club Sports program.

The CSU head coaching position pays $20,000 per year (negotiable).

Responsibilities include:
Lead coaching staff and delegate tasks to appropriate assistant coaches, team administrators, or player officers.

Organize and administer all aspects of the lacrosse Program, including game/practice planning and strategy with duties including but not limited to:
Scheduling / high level road trip planning
Coordinating practice schedules & logistics
Recruiting
Supervising assistant coaches
Attending all league meetings / acting as MLCA & RMLC program representative

Desired Head Coach Qualities:
Prior MCLA or other college head coaching experience is preferred but not required.
The Head Coach will be responsible for the both the on-field and off-field management of the lacrosse program.

A successful candidate must have a balance of coaching experience, and knowledge, in addition to being highly organized — possessing administrative and office management skills.

This individual must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and must be mindful that these are top tier MCLA level players who act as members of the team and stewards of the program.

This position requires consistent team communication regarding logistics, philosophy, player performance, and general team feedback.

This individual is tasked with keeping University administrators, parents and alumni well informed, as communication is crucial to the CSU lacrosse family. The way that the program represents the University is fundamental to the long-term success of the program.

There must always be respect for the Program, the team, and the opposing teams. Always represent the University in a positive fashion and honor the game.

Appointment: Commencing with the spring semester 2016, part time
