ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- Sophomore Andrew Horton (Westlake Village, Calif.) pushed transition and fed freshman AJ Guralas (Los Gatos, Calif.), who scored with just 13 seconds remaining to give Cal Poly their first lead in a dramatic 11-9 come-from-behind victory over host Sonoma State this past Saturday.

The Mustangs (9-1) battled back from 6-2 and 9-6 deficits, scoring the final three goals in the last two minutes of the game. Guralas led the visitors with four goals and two assists, while sophomores Ben Berkow (Irvine, Calif.) and John Corbolotti (San Rafael, Calif.) chipped in with two goals apiece. Corbolotti added two assists.

Freshman Evan Hunter (Mission Viejo, Calif.) assisted on two Mustang goals, while junior Joe Dresser (Walnut Creek, Calif.), sophomore Andrew Laron (Santa Monica, Calif.), and freshman Mitch Stickney (Mercer Island, Wash.) each added a goal.

Junior Sean Pihl (Tustin, Calif.) led the Mustangs defensively with 11 saves while sophomore Austin Lord (Pacific Grove, Calif.) won five faceoffs in the fourth quarter to help secure the victory.

Brad Bochesa (North Tustin, Calif.), Tyler Yamamoto (San Diego, Calif.), and Wesley Koenig (Scotts Valley, Calif.) each scored two goals to lead the Seawolves (6-5), who drop to 3-1 in WCLL play.

Cal Poly is now 4-0 in league play and will look to improve that record when they host Chico State Saturday, April 2 at 2pm.
