LSA Championship Games Set

SAN ANTONIO – The Lone Star Alliance has gone chalk, giving its fans the expected matchups on Sunday in the conference championship at Saint Mary’s Hall. All four of the No. 1 seeds are playing for hardware tomorrow.

The winner of Sunday’s Division I contest will earn an automatic bid to the 2016 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour. The winner of the D-II title will be in the at-large pool for nationals.

In Division I, Southern Methodist – the top seed in the North division - pulled away late from Texas A&M in a shootout, winning 17-12. The Mustangs draw the South division’s big dog and defending conference champion Texas State. The Bobcats fought off LSU, 8-6, to advance.

In Division II, the top seed in the LSA North, UT-Dallas, downed UT-San Antonio, 10-7 to punch its tickets to the title tilt. The Comets battle La.-Lafayette for the hardware. The Ragin’ Cajuns rocked Oklahoma State, 21-6.

Both championship games will be streamed live by StickStar Lacrosse.

Division I Semifinal Results
#1N Southern Methodist d. #2S Texas A&M, 17-12
#3S LSU vs. #1S Texas State, 7 p.m.

Division II Semifinal Results
#1N UT-Dallas d. #2S UT-San Antonio, 10-7
#1S La.-Lafayette d. #2N Oklahoma State, 21-6

Finals – Sunday, April 24 – Saint Mary’s Hall (San Antonio)
Division I
#1S Texas State vs. #1N Southern Methodist, 2 p.m.

Division II
#1N UT-Dallas vs. #1S La-Lafayette, 11 a.m.
