UW’s Puldy Has D-I Top Performance

UW’s Puldy Has D-I Top Performance

April 19th, 2016 General News | Arizona State | Boston College | Liberty | Purdue | Stanford | New Hampshire | Washington

ATLANTA – The University of Washington pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the year, knocking off No. 9 Oregon, led by senior led by senior Nathan Puldy, who earned MCLA Division I Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour for the period ending April 17.

With the Huskies unranked and fighting to be a part of the PNCLL tournament, Puldy stepped to the fore, scoring five goals and assisting on three others in a wild, 19-17 victory for Washington. In addition to scoring nearly a half of the Huskies’ goals, Puldy chipped in with three ground balls.

“He’s the heart of our team,” said Washington coach Jack Cerchiara. “He’s a true leader both on and off the field, and really showed that on Saturday versus Oregon – both in the stat book and in his control of momentum and our offense.”

For the season, the Boulder, Colo., native leads the Huskies in goals (21) and points (32). Washington is 5-5 with two games to go and could potentially grab the second seed in the PNCLL tournament.

For his efforts in earning the Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour, Puldy will receive a new Under Armour Command Head. Under Armour is the proud sponsor of the MCLA.
