Sat. Scores: The Swag is Back

Sat. Scores: The Swag is Back

March 11th, 2017 General News | BYU | Chapman

After a wild Friday that featured three Top 10 teams taking losses and No. 1 Georgia Tech escaping with a two-goal win, we're loading up for another solid day of action.

There are a dozen games on the Division I schedule/scores page for Saturday, March 11 and the biggest one is occurring on the same field that will host the title game of the 2017 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour.

No. 14 Chapman ended its early season doldrums by bouncing No. 2 Brigham Young in the confines of Ernie Chapman Stadium, 10-7. It was the Panthers fourth straight win and its first signature victory of the season.

No. 17 Arizona held its ranking against a red-hot No. 21 San Diego State squad, picking up a key conference victory, 7-6. The contest was featured as the SLC Game of the Week (paywall).

No. 19 Connecticut started out its season in fine fashion, beating No. 25 Davenport, 13-9. The Huskies face No. 1 Georgia Tech tomorrow.

It didn't feature any rankings, but Alabama defeated previously undefeated Texas, 13-11, dealing a blow to the LSA frontrunner's resume.

The Division II schedules/scores page features 17 contests during the course of the day.

Once again, the Christian Academy of Knoxville hosted the top-ranked action of the day.
