UNH'S Gallo Has Top Performance

UNH'S Gallo Has Top Performance

March 28th, 2017 General News | Boston College | Davenport | Grand Canyon | Oklahoma | Texas Christian

ATLANTA – The New Hampshire men’s lacrosse team temporarily took control of the Pioneer Collegiate Lacrosse League with a key win, bolstered by sophomore midfielder Anthony Gallo, who earned MCLA Division Commanding of the Week powered by Under Armour for the period ending March 26.

Facing off against defending PCLL champion and 14th-ranked Boston College, the Wildcats pulled off a 10-9 upset and Gallo factored in half of the team’s offensive output.

The Windham, N.H., native scored four goals and set up a fifth as UNH notched its first win of the season.

“The thing that really sets Anthony apart is his intelligence,” said New Hampshire coach Ben Clark. “He's very good at adapting to what defenses are giving him, and he was able to make some adjustments to his game and score some big goals down the stretch.”

For his efforts in earning the Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour, Gallo will receive a new Under Armour Command Head – a $100 value. Under Armour is the proud sponsor of the MCLA.

On a side note, Gallo put together a video of the UNH spring break trip to the Mid-Atlantic and Colorado.
