Montana Earns PNCLL-II Crown

April 30th, 2017 General News | College of Idaho | Montana

BURNABY, B.C. – Montana grabbed an early lead on previously undefeated College of Idaho and never let it go, beating the Yotes, 12-9, and winning the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League Division II championship.

Montana earns an automatic berth to the 2017 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, which will take place from May 8-13 in Orange County, Calif.

The Grizzlies, which returned to Division II this year after a stint in Division I, make their first visit to nationals since they won the D-II championship in 2007.

Tournament MVP Eric Larson led the Montana offense that was able to stay a step ahead of the Yotes.

Montana will find out its seed and first round opponent on Sunday evening when the Division II brackets are unveiled on MCLA.us.
