BALTIMORE – Inside Lacrosse, the Source of the Sport, has released a list of the top current collegiate player from every state (along with Washington, D.C.) and an MCLA player was chosen in six of them.

Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, Tennessee and Wyoming were represented by a current MCLA student-athlete.

In Idaho, it was College of Idaho senior Nicholas Guzzetti. A three-time All-American for the Yotes, Guzzetti has led COI in scoring in each of his first three seasons. A Meridian, Idaho, product, he led Mountain View High School to state titles in ’13 and ’14.

The Montana honor went to Grizzlies junior attackman Chris Palmer. A native of Helena, Palmer scored 61 goals and dished out 39 assists in his first two seasons in Missoula.

North Dakota was repped by North Dakota State sophomore midfielder Connor Halverson who played his prep lacrosse in Fargo. He was a key cog in the Bison’s run to the national semifinals last spring.

2016 MCLA Division I Player of the Year Dylan Garner from Chapman edged out Loyola’s John Duffy to grab Oregon’s top honors. One of the most dangerous offensive players to suit up in the MCLA, Garner has 103 goals and 75 assists entering his senior year.

A pair of Southern Methodist middies helped nail down Tennessee for the MCLA. Junior Austin Rolfe, who starred at Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, and classmate Thomas Garrott, a standout from the Memphis University School, have been critical for the two-time defending LSA champions.

Wyoming went to the MCLA thanks to junior midfielder Raiden Todd, who is a standout for the Cowboys. A Baggs, Wyoming, product who starred at Little Snake River Valley High School, Todd has 40 career goals and 18 assists.
