SEATTLE – After breezing through the conference schedule undefeated, Simon Fraser has been awarded the top seed in the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) Division I Tournament, which starts Saturday in Lake Oswego, Ore.

Fraser (8-2, 5-0 PNCLL) will battle fourth-seeded Oregon State (5-5, 2-3) in the 4 p.m. semifinal. The two met on St. Patrick’s Day with the Clan taking a 14-10 victory thanks to five goals and two assists from Tyler Kirkby.

In the nightcap, No. 2 Washington (7-5, 3-2) matches up with No. 3 Oregon (5-6, 2-3). These two met on April 14 as the Ducks took home an 11-9 triumph aided by six goals from Cade Bailey.

The winner of Sunday’s title tilt will earn an automatic qualifying bid to the 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, which takes place in Salt Lake City from May 7-12.

“We’re thrilled to have our championship in Lake Oswego this spring and the games should be fantastic,” said PNCLL director Jason Stockton. “I expect all the games to go down to the wire.”

Admission to the 2018 PNCLL Division I Tournament is $7 for adults and $3 for children.
