A&M’s Robertson Named Goalie of Week

A&M’s Robertson Named Goalie of Week

March 26th, 2019 General News | Chapman | Indiana | Kansas | Texas A&M

ATLANTA – After leading the Aggies to a crucial win over LSU, Texas A&M netminder Marco Robertson has earned Pearl’s MCLA Division I Goalie of the Week honors for the period ending March 24.

With the top seed in the LSA South on the line against the Tigers, the Dallas product stood tall, turning away 15 shots (62.5 sv%) as Texas A&M rallied for a 10-9 victory.

Robertson was particularly effective in the second half, allowing just three goals to LSU in the final 30 minutes as the Aggies rallied from a 6-4 halftime deficit.

The win snapped a two-game losing skid for A&M.

“Marco’s play against LSU was really the difference in the game,” said Texas A&M coach Tony Scazzero. “We needed him to come up with some key stops in the second half and he delivered.”

For his efforts in earning the Pearl’s Performance of the Week, Robertson will receive a prize package from Guardian Pearl, a ball that lasts longer than the rest and never greases. Guardian Pearl is the proud partner of the MCLA.
