ATLANTA – He helped topple top-ranked Michigan State on Sunday and now Chapman senior netminder Daniel Aguilar is Pearl’s Goalie of the Week for the period ending March 3.

With the Panthers mired in a two-game slump, the Danville, Calif., product stepped up against the defending national champion Spartans – the team that beat Chapman in the ’18 title game.

Aguilar finished with 13 saves (59.1 sv%) in the Panthers’ 11-9 victory and was instrumental in transitioning to the powerful Chapman offense.

“Daniel made timely saves and, more importantly, he led us to a 100 percent clearing day against Michigan State,” said Chapman coach Dallas Hartley. “It allowed us to be aggressive on the offensive end of the field. He stepped up when we needed him to.”

For his efforts in earning the Pearl’s Performance of the Week, Aguilar will receive a prize package from Guardian Pearl, a ball that lasts longer than the rest and never greases. Guardian Pearl is the proud partner of the MCLA.
