BOSTON – After charging through their respective subdivision with unblemished records, Michigan State and New Hampshire have earned byes into the semifinals of the inaugural Continental Lacrosse Conference (CLC) Division I tournament.

The winner of the CLC title earns an automatic qualifying berth to the 2019 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, which will be held in Salt Lake City from May 6-11.

New Hampshire (9-0, 4-0) captured the top seed out of the CLC East and will meet the winner of the contest between West No. 2 seed Davenport (4-8, 3-1) and West third seed Pittsburgh (6-6, 2-2).

Michigan State (7-6, 4-0), the defending MCLA national champion, cruised to the No. 1 seed out of the CLC West and will tangle with the winner of the tilt between East second seed Connecticut (6-4, 3-1) and East No. 3 seed Boston College (8-4, 1-3).

“The first Continental Lacrosse Conference playoff is going to be one of the most exciting in the country,” said CLC co-director Daniel Morris. "We have four Top 20 programs, and two regions about to collide for the first time."

“The East-West format keeps some of the old rivalries alive while setting the fans up for a huge showdown on Sunday with a bid on the line,” added CLC co-director Sean Buzzard.

Admission to the CLC tournament games in Taunton is free. An all-day ticket for the championships in Bridgewater on Sunday is $10 while children under 10 get in free. Food options will be available on site.
