Oklahoma State Announces Captains

Oklahoma State Announces Captains

January 30th, 2020 General News | Oklahoma State

STILLWATER, Okla.— Oklahoma State has announced its four captains for the 2020 season. The team will be headed by Jase Simon, Jake Hamilton, Kyle Kerr and Seth Arstingstall.

Simon is coming off his third season with the Cowboys, during which surpassed 100 career goals. The 6-foot-4 senior attackman from Northfield, Minn., was a 2019 first team all-conference selection.

Hamilton is a senior midfielder from Plano, Texas. In 2019, he posted a career high 39 points, which consisted of 20 goals and 19 assists.

“I can’t wait to kick this season off,” said Hamilton. “I think with all the preparation and recruitment we’ve done, we’ll be able to carry our momentum from the end of last season and dominate our division.”

Kerr is the team’s current president and is in his second year with the team. Kerr, an accounting major, is a native of Allen, Texas. The junior attackman posted 19 goals last season and had three games with hat tricks.

“I think we are building something strong here and have the potential to go far this season,” said Kerr.

Arstingstall, a sophomore long-stick midfielder from Edmond, Okla., is in his first year with the team, but his hard work and leadership have not gone unnoticed this offseason. Though he has yet to take the field for the cowboys, Arstingstall is excited and ready to suit up in America’s Brightest Orange.

“To be recognized by a team that I have never played a game with as a captain really means a lot to me,” said Arstingstall. “When I attended my first practice with the team, I saw so much potential.”

The Cowboys are looking forward to opening their season up Friday, Jan. 31 against Oklahoma in Jenks, Okla.
