ATLANTA – After sparking New Hampshire to a pair of highly-ranked victories, junior midfielder Austin Collard has earned MCLA Division I Dominant Performance of the Week presented by Warrior for the period ending March 8.

The Wildcats opened the weekend against defending national champion and No. 1-ranked South Carolina in Atlanta and the Wakefield, Mass., product exploded for five goals and an assist in UNH’s 11-8 victory.

The following day against No. 5 Georgia Tech, the middie scored a goal and set another up as New Hampshire posted the 13-12 upset.

For the weekend, Collard posted six goals, two assists and nine ground balls.

“I think anyone who saw our games this weekend got the chance to see just how deadly Austin is out there,” said New Hampshire coach Scott Eiseman. “He is so talented, athletic and smart and, honestly, one of the most complete lacrosse players I’ve ever seen.”

For his efforts in earning the Dominant Performance of the Week presented by Warrior, Collard will receive a new Warrior Burn 2 – a $90 value. Warrior is a proud supporter of the MCLA.

Warrior Honor Roll

Jack Calderone, Jr. – Colorado State
The Rams rolled to a 2-0 weekend thanks to the defensive play of Calderone, who combined for 14 caused turnovers, 13 ground balls and one assist.

Carter Elliot, Sr. – Liberty
The Flames were able to dispatch a ranked Clemson outfit thanks to the attack play of Elliot, who finished with six goals (along with two GBs) against the Tigers.

Doug Gosselin, Sr. – Cal Poly
The Mustangs stunned No. 2 Cal on Saturday thanks to four goals on five shots from Gosselin.

Charlie Kessinger, Soph. – Tennessee
In a pair of wins, the Vols faceoff man won 36-of-50 draws (72.0%), gobbled up 23 ground balls while chipping in with two goals and two assists.

Devon McIntyre, Jr. – Clemson
The Tigers split with Liberty and Virginia Tech, but the attackman delivered against both, combining for seven goals and three assists.

Robert Richardson, Soph. – Brigham Young
The Cougars swept a three-game road trip to Boise helped by the dominant backline play of Richardson. He combined for 19 ground balls, two goals and a dime for BYU.
