SELC Announces HOF Class

SELC Announces HOF Class

May 8th, 2020 General News | Florida | Georgia | Georgia Tech | Liberty | Tennessee

ATLANTA - The SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference (SELC) is proud to announce the Class of 2020 to the SELC Hall of Fame.

The Class of 2020 will be formally inducted at the 2021 SELC Championship Tournament. We have the honor to present:

David Adams – Florida, Photographer, 1999-2017
Dave never played or coached in a SELC game, but his efforts had a major impact on the SELC. For almost 20 years (1999-2017), Dave chronicled via photography the SELC through hundreds of regular season, SELC and MCLA championship games, most on a volunteer basis.

Dave also donated his time and materials in processing and cataloging his images and annually would make them available to the teams at no charge. Dave also served the game as a game official, working games for 10 years. Dave retired after a lengthy career in the Atlanta Fire Department and is currently living in Denver.

Ken Lovic – Georgia Tech, Coach/Administrator, 1995-Present
Ken Lovic currently serves as the president of the MCLA as well as the head coach at Georgia Tech. Previously, he served as SELC vice president. Ken has won over 225 games in 24 years at Tech including four conference championships.

He has coached three teams to the semifinals of the MCLA national tournament and has been honored both as a SELC and MCLA Coach of the Year.

Ryan Miller – Liberty, Attack, 2012-15
Ryan was a dominant attackman from his first SELC game as a freshman in 2012 until his graduation in 2015. He was Rookie of the Year, four-time first team all-conference, three-time MCLA All American and four-time Scholar Athlete.

Ryan was honored as SELC Offensive Player of the Year three years and finished his career at Liberty University with 337 points on 201 goals and 136 assists. Ryan currently is coaching high school in northern Virginia.

Kris Muir – Tennessee, Midfield, 1998-2001
Kris Muir played on two SELC championship teams at Tennessee and served as a two-time team captain. Kris was a prototypical two-way midfielder and his talents were recognized via both all-conference and All-American honors.

He was a four-year starter and was selected as a member of the SELC 25th Anniversary team. After college, Kris coached high school for eight years in the Atlanta area and was a championship coach with the Copperheads youth program.

Waldo Terrell – Georgia, Goal, 1995-99/ Coach, 2000-03
Waldo was a dominant goalie in the late ‘90s for Georgia. He backstopped them to the 1998 SELC championship and to the 1998 USL MDIA national championship tournament. He was the only SELC player to make the national championship tournament team after setting a tournament record 24 saves in a game.

Waldo served as an assistant coach at Georgia for two years and as head coach in 2003, leading UGA to the SELC D-II Championship. Waldo also served as treasurer of the SELC for three years and as a certified official.
