Senior Thank You: Elon

Senior Thank You: Elon

May 12th, 2020 General News | Elon

ELON, N.C. — The senior class of 2020 had their season stolen from them.

For reasons outside of their control, they will never be able to pursue goals for which they worked so hard.

As part of a recurring segment for the remainder of this spring, coaches have the opportunity to thank their seniors one last time.

Continuing the series is Elon honoring its four seniors.

#7 Teague Whalen, Defense
Norwalk, Conn. (Norwalk)
Teague has been a great vocal leader for our team. Although Teague will no longer be on the field with us, he will still be proudly representing the Phoenix as he graduates with a marketing major and continues on to work for Pepperidge Farm this coming summer.

We thank you for all that you have contributed to this team and wish you the best of luck moving forward.

#10 Gunnar Bouwman, Attack
New Fairfield, Conn. (Canterbury)
Gunnar was a great asset to have in the attack rotation and was able to score some solid goals for the Phoenix this year.

We thank you for all that you have contributed to this team and wish you the best of luck moving forward.

#44 Matthew Brody, Goalie
Wilton, Conn. (Wilton)
Matt had a great career here as a Phoenix. During his time at Elon, Matt has been another vocal leader that has contributed a lot to this organization.

He will continue to do great things as he graduates this spring with a major in entrepreneurship, and goes on to work for Blade Urban Air Mobility in NYC.

We thank you for all that you have contributed to this team and wish you the best of luck moving forward.

#48 David Burke, Midfield
Baltimore, Md. (Mount St. Joseph)
David was the president of the Elon lacrosse organization this season. During his time as a Phoenix, David was an asset to have on the field with his quick playing style, as well as off the field with his great leadership and guidance for this program.

After graduating with a major in marketing, he plans to begin working in the food or CPG industry. We thank you for all that you have contributed to this team and wish you the best of luck moving forward.
