BATON ROUGE, La. -- The Louisiana State University (LSU) men's lacrosse program has opened a search for a new head coach.

LSU is a member of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) and the Lone Star Alliance conference (LSA). The team is a student-led University Recreation-sponsored program at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.

Louisiana State’s team has consistently been a competitive program nationally. The team enjoys support from the University with fields, staff for game days, and a strong base of alumni.

The head coach will be responsible for assisting the LSU lacrosse board in various administrative duties.

Some duties include communicating with University Recreation, assisting in reaching out to other teams and their respective staffs regarding scheduling, planning away game accommodations with the Board, and helping organize events and fundraisers for the team.

On-field management requires a fundamental knowledge and ability to run a lacrosse team successfully. Candidates must be able to teach, manage, and run a proper offense and defense.

Furthermore, the head coach must be able to analyze and develop players to best help the team, as well as provide leadership and basic game-planning for matchups during the season. This includes formulating and executing practice plans for the Fall and Spring seasons. The
