CoI’s Brown Goalie of the Week

March 15th, 2022 General News | College of Idaho | GVSU | Montana State | UC Santa Cruz

ATLANTA – After locking down a pair of Top 10 teams, College of Idaho netminder Cade Brown has been named the MCLA Division II PEARL Goalie of the Week for the period ending March 13.

The Yotes started the week against No. 5 Montana in Missoula on Saturday, and the Meridien, Idaho, product turned away seven shots and allowed just four goals (63.6 sv%) in three quarters of action as College of Idaho rolled to a 19-6 triumph.

On Sunday, the Yotes tangled with No. 8 Montana State in Bozeman and again Brown was a difference-maker. He made 13 saves and allowed just three goals in College of Idaho’s 8-3 victory.

For the weekend, Brown made 20 saves and allowed just seven markers – a save percentage of 74.1.

“Brown is the leader of an all-star defense,” said College of Idaho coach Alan Morgan. “He stood on his head all weekend and came up big for us.”

For earning the PEARL’s Goalie of the Week, Brown will receive a prize package from Guardian PEARL, a ball that lasts longer than the rest and never greases. Guardian PEARL is the proud partner of the MCLA.
