Utah State’s Arbon Player of Week

Utah State’s Arbon Player of Week

March 1st, 2022 General News | Coastal Carolina | Dayton | TAMU2 | UC San Diego | Utah State | Wyoming

ATLANTA – Acting as the catalyst for Utah State’s 4-0 run through the Upper Midwest Lacrosse Conference (UMLC), Aggies senior attackman Brock Arbon has been named the MCLA Division II Warrior Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 27.

Utah State opened with No. 8 North Dakota State and the Draper, Utah, native connected for a goal and an assist in the comfortable victory over the Bison. He followed that up with an assist in the triumph over No. 12 St. John’s.

Against defending Division II national champion and top-ranked St. Thomas, Arbon accounted for half of the Aggies’ goals in an 8-7 overtime victory. He potted two more goals in the finale against No. 6 Minn.-Duluth.

For the week, Arbon had seven goals and two assists along with 11 ground balls.

“Amongst our captains, Brock is soft spoken and quietly competitive,” said Utah State coach Scott Bingham. “We knew that we had a tough week ahead of us and Brock played a pivotal role in our success.

“He leads on the field by example, pushing the tempo of the offense and constantly threatening defenses with his fearless dodging and his ability to finish from anywhere. Brock is an absolute menace on rides and more than once we retained possession due to his efforts.”

For his efforts earning the Warrior Player of the Week, Arbon will receive a Warrior Burn XP-O – a $100 value – for his efforts. Warrior is a proud sponsor of the MCLA.
