SELC Releases Mid-Season Watch List

SELC Releases Mid-Season Watch List

April 9th, 2022 General News | Auburn | Florida | Florida State | Georgia | Georgia Tech | South Carolina | South Florida

(from an SELC release)

The SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference (SELC) has announced its mid-season update to the 2022 All-SELC watch list.

A selection committee comprised of head coaches and assistant coaches, representing both regions within the conference, examined the season-to-date performances of dozens of SELC Division I players.

From amongst these, the committee identified 37 players of note who, based on the data currently available, will be in the discussion for All-SELC honors at season’s end.

“Unlike the preseason watch list, which relied mostly on stats from prior seasons and guesswork, this mid-season update to the All-SELC watchlist is based on current, verifiable production throughout the 2022 MCLA season,” said Garrett Hanrahan, SELC Division I director. “These 37 young men have undeniably impacted their teams’ performances for the better this season, and they’ve caught the eyes of coaches both around our conference and around the entire MCLA.

"Many of them have earned weekly awards at both the conference and national level. Above all, they have led their teams to many victories – not just within the SELC, but against some of the best teams from conferences all across the association.”

“So far, 2022 has been another very strong season for the SELC,” Hanrahan continued. “We look forward to watching as these 37 standouts and their teammates compete through the final stretch of the regular season and into the postseason.”
