MISSOULA, Mont. -- In hopes of making another deep run at nationals, Montana has amassed a hearty, 17-game schedule for the 2023 season.

The slate features seven teams that participated in the 2022 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance and 10 programs that finished in the final New Balance coaches poll.

"Hopefully we can navigate a difficult schedule with some amount of success with the hope to prepare ourselves for another postseason run," said Montana coach Tucker Sargent. "All of the teams we face are very good and have great coaching, so we will have to be well prepared and focused going into every game."

After opening the season with three games in three days in Washington, the Grizzles head to Minot, N.D., to battle St. Thomas and Minn.-Duluth on Feb. 25-26.

A brief homestand against Idaho and rival Montana State is followed by seven games away from Missoula, including a spring break trip to SoCal. Montana will face UC San Diego, Cal State San Marcos and Loyola Marymount over the course of five days.

The regular season will culminate with three straight home games -- Utah State, College of Idaho and Colorado Mines.

The PNCLL tournament will take place in Lake Oswego, Ore., on April 29-30.
