KSU’s Polanski Earns Warrior Award

KSU’s Polanski Earns Warrior Award

April 25th, 2023 General News | Claremont | Kennesaw State | St. Thomas | Stonehill | UC Davis | UT-San Antonio

ATLANTA – After leading Kennesaw State to back-to-back SELC Division II championships, Owls senior attackman Dylan Polanski is the MCLA Division II Warrior Player of the Week for the period ending April 23.

Kennesaw State opened the tournament against Florida Atlantic, ranked No. 16 in the country, in the semifinals in Jacksonville, Fla. Thanks to four goals, three assists and four ground balls from the Suwanee, Ga., product, the Owls rolled into the finals with a 19-13 victory.

On Sunday in the finals against No. 6 Florida Gulf Coast, Polanski struck for another pair of goals and three dimes as the Owls pulled the 8-7 upset and punched their ticket to the 2023 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance.

For the weekend, Polanski had six goals, six assists and six ground balls on his way to the title.

“Dylan has been a key part of our offense since his freshman year,” said Kennesaw State coach Connor Murphy. “Now, as a senior, his clutch performance this past weekend helped us win the SELC Championship.

“He displayed his ability not just to find the back of the net, but to generate offense on our run to the championship.”

For his efforts earning the Warrior Player of the Week, Polanski will receive a Warrior EVO QX-O – a $100 value – for his efforts. Warrior is a proud sponsor of the MCLA.
