LSA Semifinals Info Released

April 27th, 2023 General News | Baylor | Missouri | Mo. State | SMU | Texas | Texas A&M | Tulane | UT-San Antonio

DALLAS – The Lone Star Alliance (LSA) returns to Southern Methodist University for the 2023 conference tournament, which will be held on April 29-30.

Each LSA division winner will receive an automatic berth to the 2023 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will be held at the Round Rock (Texas) Multipurpose Complex from May 8-13.

BRACKETS: DIVISION I | DIVISION II

Action will start on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the first Division II semifinal featuring Central second seed UT-San Antonio (7-4) and North top seed Missouri State (8-2).

The second D-II semifinal kicks off at 1 p.m. as Central top seed Baylor (10-4) squares off with the top seed out of the East, Tulane (6-2).
Both of the Division II semifinals will be first-time matchups this spring.

The opening Division I semifinal between South third seed Texas A&M (7-6) and North No. 4 Southern Methodist (11-4) will faceoff at 4 p.m. The two teams met on April in College Station with the Aggies rolling to a 15-8 victory thanks to six points from Connor Legg.

The semifinal session will close at 7 p.m. with South second seed Texas (8-2) taking on North No. 1 Missouri (10-3). This will be the first meeting between the two programs this spring.

"We are really excited about the lacrosse we are bringing to Dallas this weekend,” said LSA director Jason Zantjer. “Missouri State kicks us off this weekend against UTSA, looking to defend their title from last year. We then move to a battle between two No. 1 seeds Baylor and Tulane.

The Division I matchup later that afternoon between SMU and Texas A&M takes us right into the nightcap of Texas and Missouri. We couldn't ask for better match ups. For the first time ever, the LSA will crown three champions on Sunday, bringing the Division III championship to the party on Sunday morning.”

Admission is $5 for adults with children under 5 free. All six games will be streamed by Game On Sports Network.
