ATLANTA – With a monster effort leading Air Force to the RMLC Division II championship, Falcons junior attackman Samuel Gee has been named the Warrior Player of the Week for the period ending April 28.

Air Force started its drive to a league title on Friday against a ranked Utah State outfit and the Elmira, N.Y., native was ready. He buried six goals and chipped in with an assist as the Falcons rolled, 21-6.

In the championship contest with No. 5 Montana State, Gee was again on point, notching another five goals with a dime as the Falcons posted a 13-12 triumph.

For the weekend, Gee posted 11 goals and two assists along with a pair of ground balls.

“Sam is a tremendous athlete who has an uncanny ability to finish his shots,” said Air Force coach Robert Koehler. “He is one of the most competitive guys on the team and his competitiveness is infectious.”

“He is very tough and will always make his presence known. If there is a turnover, he is the first one to try and get the ball back. He is a phenomenal goal scorer, but he also has great vision. He makes everyone around him better.”

For his efforts earning the Warrior Player of the Week, Gee will receive a Warrior Burn XP2-O – a $120 value. Warrior is a proud sponsor of the MCLA.
