LAURINBURG, N.C. -- Lourdes scored a convincing 18-5 victory on the road against No. 19 Saint Andrews on Saturday afternoon at Knights Field to improve to 3-0 on the season.

"The entire team played hard and we are happy with the result," said head coach Patrick Yannarelli. "Saint Andrews is a well-coached team. We are looking forward to practice and working towards our next opponent."

Lourdes built a 10-2 lead at halftime and Conner Mishler (Lambertville, Mich./Saint John's) made 20 saves in goal for the Gray Wolves in the win.

Danny Bichsel (Westerville, Ohio/North) and Dalton Vowles (Toledo, Ohio/Saint John's) each scored five times for Lourdes with Bichsel also handing out three assists. Jared Yoshino (Toledo, Ohio/Southview) scored three times and added six helpers While Casey Hilfinger (Whitehouse, Ohio/Anthony Wayne), Tanner Jaramillo (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview), and Dylan Gill (Holland, Ohio/Saint Francis H.S.) each scored once.

Jay Fisher (Toledo, Ohio/Southview) collected seven ground balls and Mason Bryan (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) added five ground balls.

"Our upperclassmen showed great poise and leadership throughout the game," Yannarelli added. "Our goalie and defense did their part and the attack is jelling more each game. We are excited with the way our midfield is coming together."

Lourdes (3-0) will return to action on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves face Dayton. The opening faceoff is set for 7 p.m. at Stuart Field in Dayton, Ohio.
