Kennedy Posts Commanding Performance

Kennedy Posts Commanding Performance

March 8th, 2016 General News | Grove City | Kennesaw State | Lourdes | NDSU | Dayton | San Diego

ATLANTA – For his efforts in helping San Diego sweep a pair of ranked opponents in Las Vegas over the weekend, senior attackman Aidan Kennedy has earned the MCLA Division II Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour for the period ending March 6.

The Toreros opened competition at the LAX Coaches vs. Cancer event by downing No. 23 Western Oregon, 21-9, and Kennedy accounted for over half the points with five goals and six assists. The Del Mar, Calif., product followed that up with three goals and two helpers in a 13-12 triumph over No. 24 Metro (Colo.) State.

San Diego is currently ranked No. 21 and is 3-1 against MCLA Division II competition. Kennedy has 21 goals and 12 assists in five games

“Aidan has always been known as a guy who can dodge and score almost at will,” said San Diego coach Matt Paur. “This year he’s focused on getting his teammates more involved and moving the ball around. This past weekend is a great example of his growth as a passer and as a leader. Aidan is an integral part of our offense and we are tremendously lucky to have him on our team.”

For his efforts in earning the Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour, Kennedy will receive a new Under Armour Command Head. Under Armour is the proud sponsor of the MCLA.
