PALO ALTO, Calif. -- The Stanford men's lacrosse team is pleased to announce that Brian Karalunas will be the head coach of the Cardinal for the 2017 campaign and that Bailey Tills will be the program's offensive coordinator and assistant head coach.

After a competitive application process that drew the interest of qualified candidates from across the country, Stanford selected Karalunas and Tills to help the program build on its success in recent years. Above all else, the team was searching for high-caliber individuals who share Stanford's commitment to excellence in all endeavors, both on and off the field.

Karalunas (pictured at right), who is currently attending Stanford law school, has had tremendous success at every level of competitive lacrosse. He is a 2011 graduate of Villanova, where he was a three-time All-American at long-stick midfielder for the Wildcats and BIG EAST Male Scholar Athlete of the Year while also serving as team captain. He graduated summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Since '11, he has been named a Major League Lacrosse All-Star five times for the Ohio Machine. He has worked at numerous lacrosse camps with coaching stints at the Collegiate School (N.Y.) and Rocky River (Ohio) High School.

Tills is a 2016 graduate of Brown University, where he helped guide the Bears to the semifinals of the NCAA Division I Tournament as an attackman. The Kent Denver prep product then helped the Denver Outlaws to the MLL championship this past summer. He currently works for Clari as a Sales Development professional while being tasked to lead the Cardinal offensive unit.
