BURNABY, B.C. – Oregon outscored Simon Fraser, 5-1, in the pivotal fourth quarter, breaking open the game and giving the Ducks a 14-7 victory over the Clan for the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League title in Division I.

Oregon has automatically qualified for the 2017 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, which will take place from May 8-13 in Orange, Calif.

This is the 10th visit to nationals for Oregon and the first since 2013.

Oregon scored the first three goals of the game and took a comfortable, 6-1 lead into the second quarter. The Ducks held onto that five-goal edge at halftime, as well, 8-3.

Fraser went on a 3-1 run in the third quarter to narrow the gap to 9-6 heading into the final frame, but Oregon finished strong to earn the hardware.

Oregon will find out its seed and first round opponent Sunday evening when the MCLA Division National Championship brackets are unveiled on MCLA.us.
