Dominican Excited for 2018 Slate
SAN RAFAEL, Calif. -- The Dominican lacrosse program is excited about the 2018 season and is looking forward to a run at the WCLL tournament with a strong schedule.
The Penguins have a strong senior class and return a lot of talent while adding some important impact players.
The Penguins will play 14 games and one scrimmage, including three teams that qualified for the 2017 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour -- Cal, Cal Poly and Sierra Nevada. In addition, there are five nationally ranked teams on the docket.
The Penguins open up with a scrimmage against Sierra Nevada on Feb. 3 before kicking off the MCLA schedule with two away games in Texas against Southern Methodist (Feb. 18) and Texas Christian (Feb. 19).
The regular season ends against WCLL conference rival Santa Clara on April 21. The Penguins will look to have a successful season and make a run in the WCLL and at the national level.
