COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – The Saint John’s men’s lacrosse team is thrilled to release its 2018 spring schedule.

The Upper Midwest Lacrosse Conference (UMLC) and Saint John’s welcome powerhouse newcomers Dayton and Grand Valley State this spring, and these two additions strengthen a conference already known as a powerhouse.

In a recent preseason poll, the Johnnies came in at No. 4 in the UMLC with key rival St. Thomas leading the way.

The Johnnies now look to improve upon the 2017 season when they posted a 5-6 mark and made a strong run at the 2017 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour in Orange, Calif.

Some key additions and returners for the Johnnie roster should make for high expectations and another solid showing.

After an early contest with MSU-Mankato (UMLC- D-I), the Johnnies will open the Division II portion of their regular season with four games in Nashville, Tenn., in the newly announced Music City Judgement weekend.

Following that weekend, the Johnnies will be in Denver for three more top ranked games. Saint John’s will then return to Minnesota to faceoff against UMLC rivals North Dakota State, Minn.-Duluth and St. Thomas.

St. John's will wrap up the regular season against CCLA Division I opponent Minnesota. In total the Johnnies have scheduled nine teams from the final 2017 Division II coaches poll to prepare for conference playoffs and nationals.
