ATLANTA – After helping Colorado to a pair of ranked victories, senior attackman John Roach earned MCLA Division I Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour for the period ending March 11.

The Buffs started the weekend on Friday night at No. 19 Liberty and quickly found themselves in a 4-0 hole. Thanks to the play of the Westminster, Colo., native’s four goals, Colorado rallied for a 17-15 victory.

In a seesaw battle with No. 11 Georgia Tech on Sunday, Roach dished out a pair of assists in regulation to send the game into overtime tied at 11 apiece. With 33 ticks left in the first extra frame, Roach connected for the game winner.

Roach also grabbed nine ground balls in the two games and was aided by his fellow attackmen Ben Wharton, Christian Snodgrass and Jack Carr.

“The points are obviously great, however, it’s the riding, ground balls and other non-stat plays that make him a team player and well deserving of this reward,” said Colorado coach John Galvin.

For his efforts in earning the Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour, Roach will receive a new Under Armour Command Head – a $100 value. Under Armour is the proud sponsor of the MCLA.
