Ga. Tech Unwinds 2019 Schedule
ATLANTA -- After qualifying for the 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, Georgia Tech has crafted its 2019 schedule in hopes of making a return visit to nationals for a fifth consecutive season.
The slate consists of 14 regular season MCLA contests and one scrimmage against Rhodes (Tenn.), an NCAA Division III program.
Three of the Yellow Jackets opponents advanced to Salt Lake City, including Chapman and Michigan State, which both played in the finals. Texas A&M -- the reigning LSA champ - visits Atlanta in early March.
"Qualifying for nationals is always one of our goals, and I feel like this schedule not only will help us do that, but also have us prepared for what we'll see if we do make it," said Georgia Tech coach Ken Lovic. "We have some big shoes to fill from last year, so no game will be an easy one for us."
