MCLA Attending #LaxCon19

January 8th, 2019 General News

PHILADELPHIA – The 2019 US Lacrosse Convention will be held from Jan. 11-13 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia and the MCLA will have its usual presence at the event.

The MCLA will occupy booth B2, which is located in the lobby just outside the main convention floor in the US Lacrosse “partners” section. Executive Director Jac Coyne and Director of Championship/SLC Director Matt Holman will be manning the booth.

“We’ve had a great turnout of MCLA coaches, players and alums the last several years in Baltimore and we’re expecting that to carry over in Philadelphia,” Coyne said. “If you have a stake in the MCLA or even if you don’t, we’d love to connect this weekend.”

In addition to the booth presence, the MCLA will have a pair of speakers during the course of the weekend.

Michigan State head coach D.J. Lubs will give his presentation “Individual and Team Defensive Tactics” at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11. At 1 p.m. on Saturday, Missouri head coach Nick Anagnostis will start his presenting on “Understaffed Coaching.”

“US Lacrosse has always recognized the value of the MCLA, its coaches and student-athletes,” Coyne said. “We’re thankful that they are giving two of our coaches an opportunity to present this year.”
