CoC’s Knox Has Top Performance

March 5th, 2019 General News | Charleston | Southern Oregon | UC Irvine | UC Santa Cruz

ATLANTA – After leading the Cougars to a huge ranked win, College of Charleston senior faceoff specialist Jon Knox earned Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour for the period ending March 3.

Squaring off with No. 25 UNC-Charlotte in search of its first win, Charleston leaned on the Nashville native to provide a spark.

Knox won 12-of-19 faceoffs on the afternoon while also chipping in with a goal and two assists in the 10-7 victory.

“Playing roles at all three ends of the field, Jon Knox has proved ability in scoring points, playing defense and his specialty at the X,” said College of Charleston coach Garrett Swaim. "Knox is an acting captain for the team, and has played a role with others in turning around Charleston's program.”

For his efforts in earning the Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour, Knox will receive a new Under Armour Command Head – a $100 value. Under Armour is the proud sponsor of the MCLA.
