ATLANTA – After leading the Yotes to a key ranked victory, freshman netminder Cade Brown has been named Pearl’s MCLA Division II Goalie of the Week for the period end March 24.

Tasked with trying to slow down a No. 23 Utah State team that was coming of a recent win over a Top 10 Montana State outfit, the Meridien, Idaho, product made 13 saves (59.1 sv%) as the College of Idaho stayed undefeated on the season.

“Utah State had a great offense and Cade made multiple incredible saves,” said College of Idaho coach Matt Gier. “Where he thrives is his ability to see field after a save and create fast break opportunities with his precision outlets. Cade anchors our defense and his abilities between the pipes amaze me.”

For his efforts in earning the Pearl’s Performance of the Week, Brown will receive a prize package from Guardian Pearl, a ball that lasts longer than the rest and never greases. Guardian Pearl is the proud partner of the MCLA.
