D-II Poll: Static Cling

April 3rd, 2019 General News | Bridgewater | Cal State San Marcos | Central Connecticut | College of Idaho | Dayton | FGCU | GVSU | Kennesaw State | Loyola Marymount | Minn-Duluth | Mo. ATLANTA – The last week of March provided no new surprises when it comes to the Under Armour MCLA Division II Weekly Coaches Poll as the same 25 teams return from last week, including the top three in the pecking order.

After getting teased for a couple of weeks with a straggler first-place vote, Minn.-Duluth (7-1) returned to its unanimous status, reeling in all 21 top votes to sit comfortably at No. 1 for the seventh consecutive week.

Dayton (8-1) suffered its first loss – a 9-6 setback to the top-ranked Bulldogs – but it didn’t bump them out of the second chair. Kennesaw State (9-1), which is enjoying its spring break, remains at No. 3.

Due to the shakeup in Allendale over the weekend, St. Thomas (4-2) jumped up into the No. 4 spot vacated by archrival St. John’s (4-2), which took a pair of losses in western Michigan and dropped to No. 7.

Grand Valley State (6-1), which hammered both the Johnnies and No. 6 North Dakota State (4-5), gets the bump into the Top 5.
