Inaugural CLC-II Field Unveiled

BOSTON – The field for the inaugural Continental Lacrosse Conference (CLC) Division II tournament has been announced with Rhode Island and Central Conn. State picking up the top seeds and earning byes into the semifinals.

The first round and semifinals will take place at Forekicks in Taunton, Mass., while the championship game will take place at noon on Sunday at Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School.

2019 CLC DIVISION II TOURNAMENT BRACKET

Central Conn. State (9-5, 4-0 CLC) will play in the first semifinal against the winner of the contested between North No. 2 seed Bridgewater State (6-3, 3-1) and North third seed Stonehill (6-3, 2-2).

Rhode Island (6-2, 3-0), which is in its first year in Division II, will square off with the winner of the tilt between South second seed Westfield State (5-3, 3-1) and South No. 3 seed New Haven (4-9, 1-2).

“Forekicks and Bridgewater-Raynham High will be fan-friendly venues that our programs, players, parents and fans will enjoy,” said CLC co-director Sean Buzzard.

“Talent and depth are the keys to winning championships, and both will be on display this weekend in Division II,” said CLC co-director Daniel Morris.

Admission to the CLC tournament games in Taunton is free. An all-day ticket for the championships in Bridgewater on Sunday is $10 while children under 10 get in free. Food options will be available on site.

First Round – Friday, April 26 (Forekicks, Taunton)
GAME 1: #3S New Haven at #2S Westfield State, 12 p.m.
GAME 2: #3N Stonehill at #2N Bridgewater, 3 p.m.

Semifinals – Saturday, April 27 (Forekicks, Taunton)
GAME 2 winner vs. #1S Central Conn. State, 10 a.m.
GAME 1 winner vs. #1N Rhode Island, 1 p.m.

Finals – Sunday, April 28 (Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School)
Semifinal winners, 12 p.m.
