Chapman’s McGuirk Dominates

Chapman’s McGuirk Dominates

February 18th, 2020 General News | Chapman | Concordia | SMU | Cal Poly | California | Florida | West Virginia

ATLANTA – After leading Chapman to a pair of victories over the weekend, junior attackman George McGuirk has earned the MCLA Division I Dominant Performance of the Week presented by Warrior for the period ending Feb. 16.

The Panthers opened up the weekend with a trip to rival UC Santa Barbara and the Madison, Conn., product scored five goals and set up a sixth to help Chapman post the comfortable win.

On Sunday, Chapman jumped in on the Pac-12 Shootout action at UCLA by taking on Oregon State. McGuirk delivered again, this time with five goals and two dimes.

For the weekend he amassed 10 goals and three assists.

"George McGuirk had a great weekend for us in back-to-back early season road games,” said Chapman coach Dallas Hartley. “More impressive than his ability to score with his explosive quickness has been the ferocity in which he rides for our team. He is the heart and soul of the beginning of our offense and the beginning of our ride. The young man has a motor that never quits."

For his efforts in earning the Dominant Performance of the Week presented by Warrior, Hackman will receive a new Warrior Burn 2 – a $90 value. Warrior is a proud supporter of the MCLA.
