Dominant Run for Dominican’s Teagarden

Dominant Run for Dominican’s Teagarden

February 11th, 2020 General News | Arkansas | Auburn | Cal Poly | Dominican | Florida State | Pittsburgh | UC Santa Barbara

ATLANTA – After leading Dominican to a pair of ranked road wins, Dominican senior attackman Garrett Teagarden earned Dominant Performance of the Week presented by Warrior for the period ending Feb. 9.

Teagarden and the Penguins opened the week at No. 19 Arizona, and thanks to three goals and five assists from the Petaluma, Calif., product, Dominican took down the Wildcats, 17-15.

The following day at No. 7 Arizona State, Teagarden struck for five goals along with an assist, sparking the Penguins to the 16-11 upset.

Teagarden amassed eight goals and six assists for an impressive 14-point weekend.

“Garrett’s outside shooting ability was on display this weekend and adding the ability to feed when defenders overplayed his shot has really opened him up as a feeder,” said Dominican coach Samuel Vogel-Seidenberg. “He was calm, cool, and collected through both games and always gave us that spark when we needed it.

“His leadership with his play and voice helped lead us to two huge wins for our program. Being a senior and understanding how far we have come as a program, this was so important for him and the rest of the senior class.”

For his efforts in earning the Dominant Performance of the Week presented by Warrior, Teagarden will receive a new Warrior Burn 2 – a $90 value. Warrior is a proud supporter of the MCLA.
