LOGAN, Utah -- Things are continuing to ramp up in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference (RMLC).

Division I

Weekend Review

Lost to Georgia, 16-14
The Buffs opened up their season against a tough UGA team. After a 3-3 end to the first quarter, the Dawgs were able to jump out to a lead in the second quarter and held off the Buffs the rest of the way. Starting the fourth down 15-10, Colorado was able to outscore UGA 4-1 in the fourth for a 16-14 final.

No. 22 Colorado State
Beat Georgia 11-7
The Rams jumped on the Dawgs early, going up 5-1 and dominating the first half taking a 10-2 lead into the half. Georgia settled into the game in the second half holding CSU to a lone goal while putting up 5. But it was too little too late and the No. 22 Rams held off the Dawgs for an 11-7 victory. CSU was led by Sophomore attackman Riley Flores’s 4G/3A and Senior mid Cole Koeberer’s 2G/3A. Rams improve to 3-0 on the year.

Texas
Lost to No. 12 Boston College 9-7; Lost to UC Santa Barbara 13-12.
The Longhorns went toe to toe with Boston College in a tough and hard-fought game that was never more than a three-goal difference and saw two ties along the way. The Eagles eventually pulled out the 9-7 victory. Texas looked to bounce back Sunday but fell short by a goal to the Gauchos of UC Santa Barbara.

Week Preview

No. 22 Colorado State (3-0) has the sole spotlight this week as the only RMLC team in action. The Rams travel to Tucson to take on a pair of SLC foes in No. 17 Arizona (3-1) and San Diego State University (1-0). Coming off a big win over Georgia, the Rams don’t have to wait long to prove themselves against a talented Wildcat offense. This will also be the first back-to-back of the year for CSU as they take on the Aztecs Saturday night.

Weekend Review

Northwest Division

No. 9 Montana State
Lost to No. 4 Minn-Duluth 10-11 & No. 1 St. Thomas 9-14.
The Bobcats return home 0-2 after an early look at what could be possible rematches in May. After a close-fought game against the Bulldogs, the second game of the back to back saw the Bobcats struggle against the Tommies.
No. 17 Utah State: IDLE

Utah
Lost to No. 11 College of Idaho 11-8.
The Utes traveled to Caldwell to knock off another ranked team in as many weeks but weren't able to play spoiler to the ‘Yotes falling 8-11. The Utes' game against Idaho was canceled by Idaho due to safety concerns.

Week Preview

Northwest Division

No. 9 Montana State:
Takes on three Southeast RMLC teams. Colorado Mines Friday, Fort Lewis Saturday, and MSU Denver Sunday. Great chance for the Bobcats to bounce back after a disappointing week. Triple headers are always tough to walk away from intact.

Utah
IDLE

No. 17 Utah State:
Huge week for the Aggies! No. 17 Utah State arrived in Minnesota Sunday night for a week-long stay in the Land o’ Lakes. The Aggies have two back to backs when they face No. 9 North Dakota State (1-0) Monday, No. 12 St. John’s (0-0) Tuesday , No. 1 St. Thomas (2-1) Thursday, and No. 4 Minn-Duluth (1-2) Friday. Four ranked teams in five days is going to be a tough task for the Aggies but shows that they are willing to go anywhere and play anyone.

Wyoming
Travels to Colorado Mines (0-0) to take on the Orediggers.

Southeast Division

Air Force
The Falcons also travel to Minnesota this week to take on No. 1 St. Thomas (2-1) in what is scheduled to be the earliest game of the year - 6AM (possible typo). Could play into the favor of the Cadets if true. Rise and shine!

Colorado Mines
Hosts No. 9 Montana State (0-2) and Wyoming (0-1). One of these three schools will walk away with its first win of 2022.

Fort Lewis
Takes on No. 9 Montana State (0-2) and MSU Denver (2-0) for early positioning in the RMLC.

MSU Denver
Hosts No. 9 Montana State (0-2) and Fort Lewis (0-0). The Roadrunners have been putting up big numbers so far this season. The Bobcats should be a good test.
