April 7th, 2022 General News | Georgia Tech

(From a Georgia Tech release)

ATLANTA - At the Georgia Tech Lacrosse Club 50th Anniversary Banquet, Saturday April 2nd, 2022, we inducted a new class into our Crease Club and Hall of Fame.

New inductees for the Georgia Tech Crease Club for Lifetime Achievement were Trish Coughlin, Diane O’Brien, Johnathan Stanford, Kevin Schoonover, Brian O’Hara, David Hern, Geoff Berlin and Dr. Brian J. Connolly.

These past and present members of the Georgia Tech Lacrosse Club family were chosen for their significant positive impact on our program off the field.

For the Hall of Fame, we inducted a full line-up, including four first ballot nominees.

At attack there was Kurt Steiner (’87), Chris Obrien (’16) and Brian Connolly (’17). At midfield, Holland Frost (’17), Phil Georgokakos (’10) and Bob Muller (’82) were inducted.

On the defensive end of the field, two defensemen and two goalies were selected. Will Byars (’17), David Cyron (’17), Bill Allen (’76) and Matt Sommerfeldt (’16) rounded out the class.

In addition to the above inductees, the club honored Bob Schack with a first ever dual induction. B

ob was entered into both the Crease Club for Lifetime Achievement and the Hall of Fame for the extraordinary amount of time and effort he has put into making the program the national power it is today and for his contributions as a player on the earliest teams in the program’s history. He has truly been here from the beginning.
