Hartley Steps Down at Chapman

August 22nd, 2022 General News | Chapman

ORANGE, Calif. – After over a decade at the helm of the Chapman, Dallas Hartley has announced he is stepping down as head coach of the Panthers.
During his stint in Orange, Hartley went 163-48 overall along with a staggering 59-8 mark in Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SLC) play.

Under Hartley’s leadership, the Panthers appeared in seven semifinals and three championship games. In 2016, Chapman put together one of the best seasons in MCLA history, finishing with a 22-0 mark and the program’s first national championship.

“The 12 years I spent at Chapman were amazing,” Hartley said. “The experience with each new team, the fortune to coach a plethora of talented and dedicated players, and to work with some of the best coaches in the west was a dream come true.

“As I move on and reflect on more than a decade of leading Chaptown, I want to thank Chapman Athletics, specifically Terry Boesel and Mary Cahill for their support, as well as Vice Chancellor Mike Pelly for trusting and supporting me and my family for over a decade.

“Chapman is making a very smart hire promoting Joel Kallas to lead the Panthers into the future as our new head coach. He is a proud alum and fantastic lacrosse coach that we look forward to supporting and seeing what new levels he can take our Panthers to.

“Much love to Chapman men’s lacrosse and Roll Town!”
