UCLA Announces New Staff

LOS ANGELES -- The UCLA men's lacrosse program is pleased to announce its staff for the 2023 campaign.

HEAD COACH: Larry Turkheimer
Turkheimer was a four-year starter, team captain, first team all-ACC and NCAA Division I Honorable Mention All American at North Carolina.

Since then, he has coached at Whittier, Georgia Tech and youth lacrosse all over the Los Angeles area. He brings over 40 years of lacrosse experience and expertise to the UCLA program.

OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Jesse Cuccia
Cuccia played both football and lacrosse at North Carolina from 2015-19.

While there, he won a national championship in 2016 and an ACC championship in 2018. He is a California native, where he attended Westlake High School and was a three-time captain, three-time All-American, four-time CIF all-region and an Adrenaline All-American.

DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Ronnie Fernando
Fernando was a goalie and played at Concordia in the MCLA. He then went on to play in the MLL and is currently in the PLL player pool.

Ronnie also plays locally for the Beverly Hills Lacrosse Club and is a StringKing athlete..

ASSISTANT COACH: Tim Topper
Topper was the president and captain at Fort Lewis from 2011-15, bringing vast MCLA experience to our staff. He has immense experience coaching youth lacrosse and is currently a graduate student and student advisor at UCLA.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH: Courtney Crump
Crump grew up in that Charlotte, N.C. area and played Division I soccer at North Carolina-Wilmington.

She graduated with honors with a degree in Exercise Physiology. After college, Crump moved to Los Angeles where she was a Tier 3+ personal trainer and personal training manager at multiple locations for Equinox fitness gyms.

During her six years at Equinox, she obtained multiple specialty training certifications such as Strong First Kettlebell master instructor Level 1 & 2, and Certified Nutritionist through Precision Nutrition.

She currently owns her own full-time training business, where she works with different athletes, celebrities and CEOs.
