Georgia Tech Releases '23 Slate

Georgia Tech Releases '23 Slate

November 2nd, 2022 General News | Georgia Tech

ATLANTA - After advancing to the finals of the 2022 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, Georgia Tech is ready to make another run. The Yellow Jackets have announced their schedule for '23 campaign and they won't be short on quality opposition.

The 14-game slate features contests again five different conferences, highlighted by a late-season trip to Utah to face Brigham Young (April 7) and Utah Valley the following day.

The date everyone has circled is the Ramblin' Wrecks contest against two-time defending national champion South Carolina on Feb. 24 in Atlanta. It's a rematch of last year's title tilt that the Gamecocks won, 11-9, in Round Rock, Texas.

"We are excited to return to action once again facing a national schedule including some of the best teams in the MCLA," said Georgia Tech coach Ken Lovic.

"The SELC schedule and tournament are always very challenging and feature some of the top teams nationally, so it's imperative we face a strong non-conference slate to get ready for that portion of the schedule."

Other '22 tournament teams on the schedule include Virginia Tech -- the top seed in last year's field -- Clemson, Liberty and BYU. The Jackets also have a road game against Kennesaw State, which was the No. 3 seed in the Division II field last spring.

Georgia Tech opens the season on Feb. 3 on the road against Auburn.
