FOLEY, Ala. – Eleven MCLA Division II teams, including the 2022 national runner-up, will descend on the Foley (Ala.) Sports Tourism Complex for the two-day “Battle by the Bay” event on Feb. 18-19.

There will be 18 games played over the two days, featuring programs from four of the nine MCLA conferences.

“It’s great exposure for the lacrosse programs and, by participating in the Battle by the Bay, all teams, at all levels, will be doing their part in helping grow the sport of lacrosse in lower Alabama, south Alabama and surrounding areas,” said Chris Fantaccione, the organizer of the event and member of the SELC senior staff.

“I’m proud to be a part of this great event and am looking forward to a great weekend of lacrosse action.”

Running concurrently with the MCLA games will be dozens of high school boys and girls contests.

The MCLA action begins at 10 a.m. with a trio of games, including 2022 finalist Rhode Island against Miami and former national third-seed Kennesaw State against Dallas Baptist.
